Working in Lending Control is different. Based in a contact centre environment, as part of our collections team you will play a pivotal! role when it comes to supporting our members when they need it most & minimizing risk to the business.

Its different simply as we are not driven by scripts or standard calls, you will be speaking with our members who have payment arrears to understand their financial circumstances and recommending effective repayment plans to ensure their finances stay on track.

It's different because 1st class training & support is provided, you will be working within a department that truly champions internal development and depending on personal performance you could see yourself moving up to two levels within 2 years. In fact over 71% of our collections consultants progressed within the last year.

Although previous call centre or collections experience would be desirable it is not essential to be successful in this role. We are looking for committed individuals who have worked in a customer focused environment who want to make a difference to both our members & the business.

• Good communication skills will be essential with a confident, articulate & enthusiastic manner
• A good degree of empathy and excellent people skills with a natural curiosity to help you quickly understand members problems and potential solutions
• A desire to work as part of an effective team is key
• Negotiating with members and manage their expectations whilst ensuring you are achieving the best for the business and our membe! rs
• Taking personal ownership and responsibility to collect arrears and negotiate & assess payment, providing accurate & suitable advice throughout
• Respond to members personal circumstances with empathy in a confident, articulate and enthusiastic manner
• Ensure that efficient and accurate member records are maintained, enabling you to exceed both your ongoing goals and our member's expectations

Salary: £15,000 starting salary
Hours: Full Time (35 hours per week), working varied shifts between 8.00am to 8.00pm plus alternate Saturdays 9am-5pm with additional scheduled time back in lieu
