About the role
As UAT Test Analyst here at LV= you will be part of the Life Change Delivery department working closely with the project management teams to manage and support the user acceptance test phase for the implementation of functional change within Life applications. Within this role you will define Test Approach (deciding what will be tested, what does not require testing, and how we are goi! ng to test it, and defining criteria for completion) and publi! sh to business sponsors and project managers. You'll support the development of Test Scenarios, Scripts, Data and Environment requirements as well as manage the day-to-day testing process through the preparation of execution plans and schedules. In addition, you will implement a Defect Management process to ensure defects are correctly prioritised, logged, investigated, resolved, and re-tested. Just as importantly you will provide appropriate progress updates for Project Managers, liaising with IT as necessary, whilst providing evidence to key stakeholders for go / no go recommendations to deploy to production. As a rule you will ensure service levels are met with regard to turnaround of defects reported by the business through the utilisation of appropriate escalation procedures and close liaison with the Project Managers or Test Managers (as appropriate). As you would expect you will also analyse post implementation issues to understand any emergence of trends with a view! to implementing / tightening quality control processes, participating in implementation review processes as appropriate.
About you
To be successful within this role you will be able to demonstrate a full understanding of testing methods and stages coupled with experience of organising and managing business testing.
Just as importantly you should have a good understanding of project management techniques and the ability to work methodically through the system development lifecycle. With excellent report writing skills and proficiency in MS office tools you will ideally possess an ISEB/ISTQB foundation testing qualification.
