- Detailed analogue electronics design and proving of that design
- Able to produce concise and accurate technical reports
- Good problem solving skills with an ability to propose innovative/creative solutions
- Must produce accurate work and be attentive to detail
- Ability to make clear decisions supported by reasoned argument
- Quality and safety focused
- Suitably domain related degree is preferred but demonstrable experience underpinned with a recognised qualification is acceptable

Analogue Electronics Engineer / Electronic Circuit Design Engineer x2
The Analogue Electronics Engineer / Electronic Circuit Design Engineer is responsible for the provision of design and engineering services for high integrity safety s! ystems on both existing equipment that are in service in the UK fleet of nuclear reactors and in designs for new equipment to be used worldwide.
Your skills will be used to provide:
- Detailed analysis of fail-safe analogue circuitry to extend the equipment's useful life.
- Analysis to identify weaknesses and solutions on the existing designs
- Identify and find solutions to component obsolescence issues
- Identify areas of a design that needs to be refurbished
- Production of technical reports
- Implementation and proving of their design changes to legacy / obsolete equipment
- Spice based circuit simulation and detailed worst case analysis to prove operation and performance of their own designs and legacy designs over the lifetime of the equipment
- Specification, design and proving of new analogue instrumentation to meet the demands of the latest international standards fail safe / safety critica! l / Nuclear industry
- Working closely with engineers from other! disciplines to produce an overall design.
- Produce Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) on new designs or modifications to legacy designs
- Participate in design reviews providing positive improvements to other engineer's analogue designs
