We currently have a new opening for a Materials Planner / Project Controller to join a manufacturing company based in Bournemouth.
The main purpose of the role will be to raise Manufacturing Orders along with the associated planning and scheduling of the materials. You will be required to progress these and the Purchase Orders and Requisitions through all the manufacturing stages to the release ensuring on-time delivery.
You must have an eye for detail to pick up and resolve any quality issues and product non conformance.
You should possess excellent communication and report writing skills as you will be in contact with suppliers and internal departments including Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing.
The role requires an individual with experience in a manufacturing environment able to understand drawings, procurement specifications, extract and gather manufacturing data, collate an! d update Bills of Materials.
As well as being compute! r literate (Word, Excel), you should be fully familiar in the use of ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Project (desirable).
You will ideally hold a CIPS qualification or project management / business diploma and be familiar with electronics manufacturing.
The position is offered on a permanent basis with an expected salary circa £30,000
