Experienced Senior Design Manager required by the Major Projects Division of this busy national contractor to manage the onsite design of a £18 million hotel in Bournemouth .
The overall scope of ! work for this busy main contractor includes mainly large new build commercial, industrial, leisure, stadium and high spec residential schemes in the west of the uk from Exeter to Bristol with offices in Bristol the midlands and the home counties my client is open about location as the major projects team are specify aimed at wining and delivering exciting schemes usually between the £20 - £80 million range
You will be responsible for the full Design Management role, to include: Early pre-construction Client presentations; Value engineering; Appointment of architects and consultants,throuigh to the site based Management of the design process and design coordinators during the construction phases; Regular liaison with client, architect, consultants, construction teams;
Either from an Engineering, Architectural or Client side project management background, you will possess excellent communication and negotiations skills, strong planning and problem solving ! ability, initiative and a positive approach.
You will! have a proven track record of successful major project procurement and delivery with a Top 20 Main Contractor.
You will possess excellent technical knowledge together with experience of working alongside large site production teams from the pre-contract stage of projects through to handover.
