To support (and act as deputy to) the Information Security Manager â" Operational Assurance by helping to:
Protect LV=âs bus! iness & customer information assets from loss of availability, integrity and confidentiality that could result in business operational impact and/or negative financial consequences.
Ensure LV=âs operational processes meet legal and regulatory compliance obligations.
Embed information security into the LV= organisation as a culture and into the business as a valued function
About You
Technical knowledge: Familiar with the core systems and technologies deployed across the LV= estate (e.g. main hardware/OS types); Understands the inter-relationship of software, hardware and communications
Security management: Familiar with the major solutions for data, system and network security; Understands the inter-relationship of software, hardware and network based solutions; Can identify basic policies and practices; Has practical experience and awareness of how information security is implemented and maintained
In! dustry experience: Can describe the major roles and respon! sibilities of the CIO function; Can identify key activities performed by CIO professionals and managers and key departments/functions; Can identify and interpret key policies, standards and procedures affecting security; Understands the basic concepts and benefits of a technology strategy; Aware of new information technology platforms and technologies;
Business knowledge: Familiar with relevance of technology for LV=; Can identify applications/components that support that business;
Analytical skills: Able to reference and interpret functional requirements documentation; Can identify main platform vendors; Understands the inter-relationship of software, hardware and comms components
SDLC knowledge: Understand basic concepts associated with functional analysis, prior and following steps in the development process, and project lifecycles; Understands basic concepts of traditional, structured approaches to application development;! Can identify major activities associated with application development; Aware of platform or technology specific standards, policies and practices; Understands the relationship of the prior and following steps in the development process

The Details
Work with CIO Service Delivery and other operational functions (including third parties) to deliver the required operational security controls
Support the on-going operation of LV= information security controls, including:
SailPoint Identity management solution;
DLP, with a focus on perimeter and endpoint monitoring;
Vulnerability management solutions;
e-Commerce security controls
Maintain up-to-date education and training to support the above
Support information security risk assessments a! nd security penetration tests for existing infrastructure and systems. !
Communicate verbally and through written means aspects of operational security to local management:
Participate in technical meetings
Produce security status reports for local management
Help communicate the value of the information security function by capturing and reporting data about information security controls, risks and incidents
