For detail informations about this vacancy opportunity kindly read the description below. Computer Futures are looking for a Network Engineer to work for a key client based in Bournemouth. You will be assisting in the implementation of a wide variety of IT networking proje! cts, from home user internet connections through to multi-site LAN and MPLS WAN deployments of 300+ users.

This is an urgent requirement and the candidate needs to be able to hit the ground running with not much training.

You need to have a complete understanding of core networking fundamentals .

OSI model

Physical Ethernet cabling - copper, fibre and associated technologies

LANs including VLANs , MAC addresses, switches

IPv4 routing protocols e.g. OSPF, BGP (for Internet transit).

Internet connectivity; ADSL, Ethernet.

Router technologies including VRRP. VRF

Firewall configuration and Internet security best practice

Managed LAN switches

• An understanding of the following would be beneficial -

IPv6

Internet connectivity; FTTC, EFM, fibre.

Multicast

MPLS

GSM/3G

• Able to use scripting in the automation of re! gular tasks
• Familiar with working practices in a data! centre environment
• Able to follow a strict process, but recognise when flexibility is required
• Can think on your feet and be calm under pressure
• Comfortable with taking risks and trying new ideas
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Good problem solving skills.
• Able to juggle multiple tasks and prioritise based on various factors
• Able to learn and work quickly with new technologies and applications
