We’re looking for a forward-thinking Adviser to help people with problems relating to housing and welfare benefits.!
Our Bournemouth Advice Centre offers a drop in and telephone advice service. We provide advice and advocacy to people in housing need or people experiencing problems with debt and benefits.

Your key responsibilities:
Deliver an integrated advice and support service focusing on homelessness prevention and tenancy sustainment
Provide on-going casework and identify eligibility for advice under Legal Aid Agency Funding
Deal with referrals, carry out needs assessments and develop support/case plans
Work with agencies and landlords to act as broker between them and people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness
And what you’ll need:
Recent experience and knowledge of specialist level housing and/ or welfare benefit advice
Experience of advising vul! nerable people and/or people with multiple and complex needs
Experience of working within a safeguarding framework and preparing briefings/group work sessions
A proven ability to work with a variety of stakeholders, both statutory and non-statutory
