To assist in delivering a service that meets the physical, social and emotional needs of each individual resident in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promote! s independence.
Understand each resident as an individual and have a general understanding of the elderly.
Observe each residents care plan and update as necessary.
Assist with the supervision of the residents at certain time of the day and at mealtimes.
Assist with planning a programme of activities, suitable for the residents.
Assist with the creation of a stimulating and attractive environment.
To assist residents which require help with dressing, undressing and personal hygiene.
Answer the emergency bells, telephone and greet visitors at the door.
To carry out domestic duties as required, including washing, ironing, cleaning and making of beds.
Assist with the preparation of meals, including assisting residents at meal times if required and washing up duties.
