Salary: 15,912 to 17,043 ! (pro rata on full time hour)
Permanent (Hours: 35 over two weeks)

Duties and Responsibilities:
A vacancy has arisen within our client's Young Peoples' Service for a professional and enthusiastic Waking Night Worker to join the team.
As Waking Night Worker the main purpose of your role is to ensure the Health, Safety, Wellbeing and security of young people at night, and to respond appropriately. You will also have administrative, housekeeping and domestic duties.
The Waking Night Worker will provide a consistent and fair approach towards young people while adhering to all policies and procedures and legislation in undertaking their duties.
Key Responsibilities for the Waking Night Worker Role will include:
Ensure and maintain the safety of young people and premises.
Where CCTV apparatus is in place; monitor, re! cord and respond to coverage.
Encourage residents to ! establish stable night-time routines.
Be available to offer support to young people, enabling them to maintain their accommodation.
Deal with any emergencies that may arise during the night - liaising with the emergency services or I-Support
Receive and deal with enquiries and concerns from the police, neighbours and any other agencies as appropriate.
Maintain regular and effective communication with the team and project leader to ensure the smooth running of the scheme, to update on resident's progress and to agree appropriate actions for difficulties that may arise.
Candidate Requirements:
For the role of Waking Night Worker the successful candidate will have
Previous experience of working with young people
An awareness of the issues that face young people today
Clear awareness of appropriate boundaries when working with young people
Awareness and acceptance of working in a demandi! ng/chaotic environment
Ability to deal with challenging behaviour and situations
Flexible, adaptable approach. Ability to negotiate effectively to produce positive outcomes.
The position of Waking Night Worker will have a 7 day shift pattern, working 35 hours over two weeks.
