Systems Engineer - Aviation
SALARY: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE
START DATE: ASAP
LOCATION: Christchurch
JOB ROLE:
- To ensu! re successful capture of customer requirements and correct implementation of development processes from initial concept through to completion
- Able to remain within annual operating budgets and achieve cost effectiveness savings where possible.
- Able to undertake all activities in a disciplined and professional manner.
- Prepare for, attend and contribute to meetings as requested, and take all follow-up actions in agreed timescales.
- Team Player with good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate confidently and persuasively with a wide variety of people.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Highly self-motivated and the ability to work without supervision.
- Flexible as some out of hours and weekend working may be required.
- Participate individually and as part of an integrated project team in the design of the Comp! any's products
- Ensure allocated tasks are completed i! n accordance with the applicable project plan
- To review job processes to achieve continuous improvement
- To ensure all actions are in accordance with Company procedures
- Maintain current knowledge within their area of technical specialisation and ensure the benefit of this knowledge is realised within their design solutions
- To accept technical responsibility for allocated design tasks
- To attend and actively contribute to the effective operation of applicable design reviews
- Working with PMs to co-ordinate the entry and exit criteria of design reviews
Relevant experience in embedded digital and analogue design within an aerospace/automotive/medical/safety-critical environment
Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS
Proven track record in systems engineering of projects based on V-Lifecycles
Proven ability to write ! formal project documentation.
Knowledge of verification and validation methodologies
Educated to Degree/HND level in an appropriate subject. In exceptional cases, relevant experience may be substituted for formal qualifications/training
DURATION: Permanent
SALARY: £40-£50k DOE
HOURS: Mon Fri 8:30am - 5:30
LOCATION: Christchurch
START: ASAP
