The hotel and spa has been privately owned for the last five years by a team of five strong, professional and passionate people who in that time have noticeably increased the sterling reputation of the hotel.
A large refurbishment programme has been in place modernising the bar area, reception and bedrooms. The spa facilities of the hotel offer six relaxing treatment rooms and a luxury lounge. The hotel and spa play host to many glamorous hen parties and private functions.

From the 1st October 2010 a National Minimum Wage (NMW) for apprentices has been introduced for young people aged 16-18 and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. From October 2013 the new rate will be per hour. The new NMW applies to time working plus time spent training as this is also part of the Apprenticeship. Anyone not covered by the age category above will be entitled to the NMW appropriate to their age.
