Bournemouth area
The role of a Java Software Developer will involve working throughout the full development lifecycle. This is a quick moving, Agile / XP environment, working within a variety of technologies with a strong focus on incremental delivery, continuous integration, test driven development (TDD) and paired programming across web based systems and architectures.
The correct Java Software Developer will have at least three years commercial experience and will have some strong OO design skills and be genuinely enthusiastic about it. Any experience with Ruby on Rails, Tomcat, XML, and any use of an IDE and Debugger, such as Eclipse, would also be appreciated. You will also becoming from a development background in Agile Scrum or something similar.
As you will be working in a team environment, liaising with other departments and alongside the testing teams then your communications skills must be very good, both written and verbal.
