About the role
Here at LV= we are currently have two exciting new opportunities for experienced Application Support Managers to join our Service Delivery team. Whether you join us to head up the Application Support team working with our Life business or with our GI business, an over arching aspect of your role will be to actively contribute to the strategic vision for GI or Life Application Support within the LV= Group. Youâll lead a team of eight Application Support Analysts, facilitating knowledge transfers and offering g! uidance and support whilst driving your team towards continuou! s improvements of all the supported applications in line with SLAâs and internal governance and compliance processes. W ith responsibility for minimising outages to production systems, liaising with relevant incident teams to produce root cause analysis and implementing appropriate process changes when required. Youâll manage the resources, support and offer technical guidance on BU Application Support Aspects of IT projects. Key to success in this role is the effective management of stakeholder expectations and clear communication across internal teams whether working with existing or new applications.
About You
When it comes to the management of high performing teams, youâre a natural and have the knowledge and experience of IT Application Support to go with it. Youâre able to understand support practices and models which will enable you to suggest the best solutions to improve the service delivery across the function. The ability to understand b! usiness drivers and offer the alternatives when necessary through both excellent verbal and written communication is invaluable along with collaboration and influencing on a regular basis. Having proven experience of these will be necessary along with being able to work across all levels of technical, senior and audit departments. Being ITIL Service Manager or Practitioner certified will certainly be beneficial as will having the awareness of varying development lifecycles, version change and change control software.
